Transgender: A Unique Realization
Recently I made an assignment on the transgender community of Bangladesh, which is also known as Hijra Community. In this assignment, I came to know that how Bengali government recognized the plight of this community and gave them representation in government offices.
Through this assignment, I came to study about the numerous key members of this community, who truly mesmerized me. Generally, there is a wide opinion that the transgender community of South Asia is not actually transgender. The male members of society usually enter in this
community, due to their weak financial situation and lack of employment opportunities.
Therefore, there is a widespread opinion that most of the Hijras are not real ones, rather they only dress up like women.
However, through this assignment, I came to know some of those who truly embraced the idea of transgenderism and actually implemented in their life. Through this forum, we have the clear idea about AGFLAP, Mind, DNA, and authenticity. The point is I truly saw these elements in this the community as well. The cleaner DNA, aware mind, and empty AGFLAP directly influences our personality and give it a certain glow. I felt that glow on those Hijras, who seemed to be authentic with their transgender reality.
I came to realize that being a transgender is not restricted to dressing up and acting like women, RATHER, IT IS AN ACT OF EMBRACING THE VERY IDEA OF FEMINISM AND MAKE IT A LIFESTYLE.
Normally, in our society, the Hijras are considered as creepy and disgraced. This assignment made me realize that this very feeling of CREEPINESS emerges due to the reason that most of the Hijras are actually male and they are just using this lifestyle as a profession. They are NOT TRUE with the nature and essence of this community. On the other hand, those hijras who are TRUE with their transgender identity and adopt this lifestyle in the CORE OF THEIR DNA, their personality not only emerges as extremely elegant but also turns on the one’s spiritual sense. They automatically develop the unique kind of sophistication and elegance, which is only limited to the ladies of royal families.
Before this very realization, I also used to hold discriminated OPINION about the Hijras. Nevertheless, my study made me realize that if we are TRUE with ourselves and identity, it does not matter we are, whether male, female, or transgender woman.
